The Victorian Government’s Department of Jobs Precincts and Regions provided Mainstreet Australia with $100,000 in June 2020 to promote Economic Survival Package and other initiatives to support business associations.

The objective of the project was to enable local business collaboration, help businesses access support and transition into recovery and rebuilding in response to COVID-19. $85,000 was allocated to the provision of grants to business associations with the remaining $15,000 allocated to the administration of the grants and the preparation of reports on individual projects as well as this summary report.

Mainstreet Australia coordinated the allocation of grants to specific business association projects. 63 applications were recieved. After assessment by a Mainstreet Australia panel, 19 business associations, trader groups and chambers of commerce from across Victoria received Booster Grant funding.
