There are five things your business can do today to help keep all Victorians workers safe.
- Workers must check in everywhere, every time using the Victorian Government QR Code Service
As a business owner, you must make every effort to encourage all workers to check-in using a QR Code every time they attend your workplace.
The Victorian Government QR Code Service is free all Victorian businesses, organisations, clubs and events, and helps contact tracers to contain a COVID-19 outbreak.
Print your Victorian Government QR Code Service posters in colour and as large as possible.
Display posters prominently at shoulder and waist height at all entrances so that people can check-in quickly and easily.

- Prompt people to check in to your business on arrival
Actively encourage all workers, customers and visitors to check-in on arrival, regardless of how long they are on the premises.
This includes when picking up a takeaway coffee or dropping off a parcel.
Posters are available to download to help your workers encourage all visitors to check-in.
- Support people who need help to check in using the Victorian Government QR Code Service Kiosk check in option.
Help seniors, people with disability, or people who don’t have a smartphone to check-in by setting up and using the venue-assisted Kiosk option on the Service Vic app. This allows businesses to use their own device (such as a tablet or smartphone) to check people in.
It’s a simple form to help staff record a visitor’s first name, family name and contact phone number electronically on the venue’s device.
To set up Kiosk check-in for your venue:
- Log in to the Victorian Government QR Code Service if you’re already registered.
- Choose the location or area within your venue.
- Enter the contact details of the person who will be your main Kiosk check-in contact.
Restrictions and public health advice changes regularly.
It is mandatory for every Victorian business with on-site operations to have a COVIDSafe Plan, and to review and update it when restrictions change.
Posters and signage are also updated frequently. Download and display the latest signs, posters and templates now.
It’s your responsibility as a business owner to keep your workers safe.
