Bernard Salt is widely regarded as one of Australia’s leading social commentators by business and the media.
He is Managing Director of The Demographics Group and a former Partner in a global advisory firm. He writes two weekly columns for “The Australian” newspaper and is one of the most in-demand speakers on the corporate speaking circuit.
Bernard has published six popular best-selling books on demographics namely “The Big Shift” in 2001, “The Big Picture” in 2006, the quirky “Man Drought” in 2008, “The Big Tilt” in 2011, the engaging “Decent Obsessions” in 2013.
Bernard established The Demographics Group to deliver speaking, media and advisory services to business and government. The Group’s tailored advisory reports, media stories and speaking engagements provide insight into consumer trends using census and other data sources.
In 2017 and again in 2018 Bernard Salt hosted a new television show called “The Next Five Years with Bernard Salt” on Sky News Business broadcast across Australia on Thursdays and rebroadcast Sunday mornings. In this 30-minute program Bernard asks guests and a panel of experts how key issues might be expected to impact the future. It’s a TV show for business management and for anyone interested in the future.
Bernard Salt was awarded an AM (Order of Australia) on Australia Day 2017.

Kylie Legge is an experienced place maker specialising in the creation and management of places that attract people and build connection. Her project work has included working with communities, government and commercial developers in NSW, Western Australia, Queensland and Victoria in Australia, as well as in Singapore and the Dubai and Abu Dhabi Emirates.

Peter Smith has over 25 years experience working in the public sector at all three levels of Government in Australia where he has held senior management roles in the Federal Government, NSW and SA State Governments and in Local Government in both Adelaide and now at the City of Port Phillip in Melbourne, Victoria.
He has also worked as an adjunct professor where he has spent over ten years teaching MBA students strategy and leadership in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Peter has considerable experience as a Board Director on Government and NFP Boards and is a current Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Peter is passionate about community engagement and building community capacity and resilience through co-creation with Governments and has a relentless focus on achieving better outcomes for the communities that he works with and on providing better value for customers and recipients of Government services. He has spent many years reforming Government services to deliver better value and is a leading advocate of place based approaches to achieve this.
His strengths include strategy, governance, placemaking , housing and urban development, leadership development and organisational change.
