Rosanna Traders Association is seeking to engage an enthusiastic and experienced Precinct Manager who can assist our Association in coordinating and taking ownership of a range of administrative, governance, membership, advocacy, and business development activities that benefit our members and keep our incorporated business association compliant.

The Precinct Manager will report to the Rosanna Traders Association.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Implement the approved Business Plan and ensure that budgets are adhered to, and plans are implemented on time.
  • Coordinate and field all membership, business and general enquires for the Association, with advice from the Executive Association.
  • Coordinate and assist the Association in championing governance including Special Rate renewals and remaining compliant with Council reporting obligations, Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) reporting and regulations, in alignment with the Rules of the Association and Funding agreement.
  • Coordinate regular events and fund raising within the Rosanna Village for the local community to increase engagement as agreed with the Rosanna Traders Association committee members.
  • Manage the trader database and ensure it is kept up to date.
  • Management of the Rosanna Village website – keeping traders details up to date.
  • Become one of the familiar faces of the Association and network, communicate and conduct regular in-person and email engagement with Rosanna Traders.
  • Basic bookkeeping and ongoing liaison with Treasurer, accountant, and auditor.
  • Monthly reporting to Executive Association.
  • Coordinate quarterly reporting to the Banyule City Council by specified deadlines.
  • Provide administrative support to the Association of the Rosanna Traders Association, including attending and coordinating monthly meetings and annual general meetings.
  • Complete tasks that support the delivery of Association Projects (e.g., signage, beautification, bulk buying), including but not limited to providing reports, sourcing quotes, attending meetings, delivery.
  • Seek additional funds, in kind services and products through sponsorship, government grants and other means, to contribute to the budget and activities of Rosanna Traders Association, when required.
  • Liaise with Rosanna traders for events and activations.
  • Assist the Treasurer in the creation of budgets, forecasting and actuals.
  • Work with the Associations Treasurer to make payments on behalf of the Association and maintain the Associations financials.
  • Assist in managing the contract with the marketing manager and coordinating agreements for all contractors.
  • Any other administrative tasks requested by the Executive Association.

Relevant Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Experience and advanced administration skills.
  • Experience working with local councils and state government stakeholders.
  • Professional and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Project management skills.
  • Confident using technology such as phones, PCs etc, as well as working with online systems, editing basic content on websites etc
  • Microsoft Office suite, Google Drive, and some Xero experience.
  • Coordinating events experience preferred.
  • Excellent managerial skills.
  • Local knowledge a strong advantage.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Smarty Grants an advantage.
